RTL’s was engaged to replace an existing bridge over the existing Flynn’s Creek Diversion at the Loy Yang Coal Mine, part of these works for the single span in-situ bridge was the removal and demolition of the existing bridge and surrounding channel, detailed Earthworks, construction of abutments, wing walls, channel replacement as well the installation of a new single span bridge.

RTL's Approach

RTL successfully delivered this Project by utilising its local workforce that is inclusive of not only mining and earthwork plant operators, but also has a suite of experienced civil labourers that are well versed in drainage, concrete structures and safety barriers works.

Project Outcomes

1. Project completed in under the prescribed timeframe
2. RTL was able to successfully co-ordinate the use of different skill sets to undertake a multi-disciplined civil project
3. RTL underlined is position to be the contractor of choice to complete these works at Loy Yang not just for Mining and earthwork Projects, but once again showed it ability to undertake and deliver complex brown field civil works within the Loy Yang Mine site.
