Project Challenge
RTL is able to provide bespoke mining and logistics for a local Latrobe Valley business whilst ensuring the mined area is rehabilitated accordingly in line with the local and RTL environmental standards.
Omnia Specialties Australia is a leading manufacturer of specialty fertilisers. Australian-Made, high-quality humates have formed the backbone of our product range with a focus on plant health, soil health and root health.
RTL's Approach
RTL is providing extraction of the high-quality raw material onsite at Loy Yang which is transported locally to the Latrobe Valley based Omnia facilities to produce premium humates and bio-stimulants, catering to both local and global markets.
Leonardite is a type of young, weathered brown coal formed over 20 million years ago when plant material in swamps started decomposing, and over time and with extreme pressure started its journey to become coal.
Project Outcomes
1. Ongoing bespoke mining for a local business as well as a full suite of services along the mining supply chain from mining, logistics and rehabilitation.
2. RTL is able to work with the ongoing Mine Operations and other site sub-contractors to complete these works.
3. RTL’s commitment to progressively rehabilitate mine sites across Australia.
